CAREER SUMMARY
Ghanaian citizen with several years experience in the fields of Monitoring & evaluation, policy analysis and advice, management consulting, research, proposals development, project design & impact assessment.  He has undertaken assignments for both the public and private sectors spanning the areas of monitoring and evaluation, organisational development, human resource management and development of Collective Bargaining Agreements as well as provision of business advice to Small & Medium Enterprises in the areas of Strategic Planning, Market Research & Surveys, Organisational Restructuring and Project Reviews & Appraisals.  In the area of Public Sector Reform, He was part of a team of consultants who undertook diagnostic studies and made recommendations for commercialising the operations of some key public sector institutions. His varied country experience includes USA, Canada, Britain, Germany, Netherlands, Israel, Turkey, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Norway, Togo and Benin.

WORK EXPERIENCE

2002 – 2008 Policy Advisor, Office of the President, Republic of Ghana

Was responsible for the Coordination, Monitoring and Evaluation of Policies and Programmes within the Social Sector.  Regularly presented alternative views, proposals and advice on social sector issues for the consideration of the Presidency through the Head of Policy Coordination, Monitoring and Evaluation at the Office of the President.  Assisted in the development and review of Cabinet Memoranda as and when required. 
           

July 2000 to September 2002: Consultant, Business Development Consultants, Accra

Responsible for the provision of business improvement advice to clients in Small and Medium Scale Enterprises.  Further responsibilities centred on the provision of consultancy services and advise on Human Resource Management and Social Sector research for clients in both the private and public sectors. Was the lead consultant on evaluating the government’s poverty programmes in the Northern part of the country.

May 1998 - June 2000: Consultant and Operations Manager, Pentax Management Consultancy Services, Accra

Responsible for the smooth operations of the company while providing consultancy advice to various clients.  Was also responsible for the development of several proposals for services to clients within the private and public sectors as well as international organisations.        

1996-1997

Country Coordinator, for Biodiversity Research Project in Ghana

Responsible for the Coordination of a research project on Economic Potential for Biodiversity in Ghana.  Further responsibilities centred on writing the legal section of the report while coordinating the Scientific and Marketing sections.
